We're a newer book group, started by a few friends/co-workers, but we are open to new members. Meeting others who enjoy reading and discussing books would be fantastic! You can find us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/groups/litwitsbookclub/
Our December 2012 book is Jeffrey Eugenides' The Marriage Plot.
This is a book club for anyone interested in reading and discussing Christian books. We will read books by Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Max Lucado, among many other great Christian authors. Suggestions are welcome. I believe that through discussion we can more deeply understand the word of God. I hope that we can also brainstorm ideas about how to apply the lessons that we learn in the books to our daily life. It will be fun to grow closer to God together!
There are few things more difficult than meeting friends in a new city. The goal of this book club is to make that process a little easier. This book club is primarily for women in their 20s who recently moved to Chicago (especially those who recently graduated school and are starting a career). The goal is to get together monthly to socialize, discuss novels, and make new friends -- while enjoying some wine or coffee, of course! Each meeting will start with a brief and painless icebreaker, so newcomers, don't be shy! I want this to be an accessible, friendly, and welcoming book club, and I hope to see you at our next meeting.

Seeking other women (with similar schedules) looking to get together on one Wednesday afternoon a month and discuss a popular novel over snacks. This is a group that is forming, so it may evolve over time. Please contact me if you're interested in joining!
We are a book club that has been meeting for many years. We currently have 5 members, all women in their 40s. We typically meet somewhere on the north side about once a month. One of our members recently moved away, so we're looking to add some new faces!
